The Consular Association Reception is an important means of recognizing the contribution of the consuls to the vitality and productivity of our state. It is an opportunity to meet the Consuls and celebrate the international world of Tacoma and Pierce County. Last year over 350 people representing business, government, education and the community attended the reception. The World Affairs Council, Port of Tacoma, Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, World Trade Center, City of Tacoma, Pierce County and many other community organizations collaborate to plan and host the reception for the community. Each year the venue is held at a new location to provide the public and the Consuls an opportunity to experience new and completed economic development projects as a way of promoting Tacoma Pierce County. Participants experience great foods, wine and beverages in a wonderful atmosphere. Guests will have an opportunity to personally meet the Consuls in a milieu of international ambience.
